Introducing Amy Flutter Florals!
Amy is one of our recommended florists here at Wellington Barn, and has worked on a number of Weddings with us. As we approach the Spring, we asked her some questions about her business and everything flowers!

What made you decide to go into Floristry?
After years of working in fashion jewellery design and sales and getting made redundant twice in the space of 2 years I wanted something to stay creative so took a floristry course on a whim. I left feeling inspired and full of ideas on how I wanted to grow all my own flowers and not use imported flowers. Alongside my mum we set up a flower farm and now grow flowers for our weddings exclusively.
As we go into the spring/summer season, what is your personal recommendation for Wedding Flowers?
Wedding flowers are best when they are seasonal. Each month brings a gorgeous abundance of flowers, so lean into the seasonality. Spring flowers are stunning, soft and ruffly and like nothing else you can get through the year. Summer then lends itself to even more varieties and bursts of colour. Depending on the month and your colour palette you can end up with truly unique floral displays.
Must have Flowers for 2026?
cosmos apricotta, pink blush lavateria, madame butterfly snapdragons, Peaches Dahlia, chocolate flake sweet peas, phlox cherry caramel, californian poppies- thai silk, zinnia queen lime blush
What do you love most about Wellington Barn?
The staff are amazing, everything is always ready for you in the morning to set up and nothing is too much for them. The view is pretty incredible as well, especially in the summer.
Top Tip for Couples when deciding on their Wedding Flowers?
Trust your florist to bring your vision to life and don't get too caught up on specific flowers as we may surprise you on how many beautiful flowers you may never have heard of. Start with a colour palette and don't be worried about being classic or timeless just think about the moment and what makes you happy and reflects you as a couple.
What are your favourite Wedding Trends for 2026?
I am never one for trends in florals as I believe seasonality above all else but i do like that weddings are getting more personalised to the couple and reflect their life together rather than a 'picture perfect' wedding that has no signs of their love story. I like quirky table details and how tablescapes are becoming more of a 'trend' in other areas, I am loving the long fruit decorated cakes and shorter vintage looking dresses.
